About Me

I’m Jess, the person behind Jess Who Sketches. What started in 2019 as a creative hobby while I was at University quickly became a passion after I began gifting hand-drawn wedding venue sketches to friends for their weddings. During lockdown in 2020, I spent time experimenting with different sketching techniques, styles, and mediums, and that’s when Jess Who Sketches was officially born.

Alongside growing my sketching portfolio, I studied Architecture at Liverpool John Moores University, where I completed both my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees before qualifying as an Architect in 2022. My love for architecture, storytelling, and meaningful places inspires every piece I create, from wedding venues and house portraits to detailed cityscapes and stationery. When I’m not sketching, you will probably find me exploring a new city, having brunch, or enjoying long walks in nature with a camera roll full of pretty buildings and places.
